Top Hung and pivot windows are of a modern, safe, functional and easy to operate design.FPP preSelect, a new generation top hung and pivot window is equipped with two independent opening mechanisms. The sash of the window can be opened outwards form the top and via centre pivot. The outward opening function enables the sash to be opened in any position from 0 to 35 degrees which allows an easy approach to the opened window. The pivot function enables the sash to be rotated through 180 degrees and is used when cleaning the outer pane. The newly patented operating mechanism guarantees complete sash stability. Opening method can be switched using the preSelect sliding switch in the frame, accessible when the window is open.
FT centre pivot windows are the most popular type of FAKRO roof window. The well-designed centre pivot allows the sash to be opened in a range of positions, thus increasing the amount of fresh air which can be drawn into the room. The sash can also be rotated through 180° and locked, allowing easy and safe cleaning of the outer pane to be carried out. Such pivot windows are operated using a two-part hinge. As the air inlet is positioned at the top of the frame, FAKRO windows have a 6% greater surface area when compared with similar sized windows made by other manufacturers. As a result they maximise the amount of natural light in a room.Non-standard window specifications, such as windows with automatic air-vents, are available to order: FTP-V/H, FTP-V/P.Also available in conservation style.
The FYP-V window is opened in a pivot mode but its axis of rotation is situated above the center of the window, thanks to which even a tall person can approach the window's edge without any difficulties. The lower part of the sash fulfills the role of a top hung window and the upper one acts as an additional source of daylight. It is the only window on the markets which after installation in the roofs with pitches between 39º and 43º satisfies the conditions of DIN 5034-1* standard, according to which the lower edge of the window should be situated 95cm and the upper one minimum 220cm above the floor level. The sash when rotated through 0º- 45º is held up by an innovatory support mechanism which allows leaving the window open in any position within this range. Equipped with an automatic air inlet V40P supplying the optimum amount of fresh air into the room. Operated by means of a handle situated in the lower part of the sash providing a two-step micro-opening facility. The sash can be rotated through 160º and blocked for washing with the use of a bolt.
The FAKRO conservation window is designed for old, historic and traditional-looking buildings. Its characteristic feature is the sash bar down the middle of the window, and black (similar to RAL 9005) metal covering on the window and flashing which is designed to suit traditional buildings. Using the FAKRO sash bar, the window retains the unique historic character of the building from the outside while creating a comfortable and modern interior. Conservation windows have all the advantages of FAKRO roof windows. The conservation window is available in a range of designs including centre pivot, top hung and pivot, and emergency escape.
We also sell windows designed for installation in vertical combinations. These windows are equipped with a locking mechanism to prevent accidental opening by children. All types are glazed externally with toughened glass, for increased safety and security. This type of window is typically installed beneath a standard roof window. Windows can be linked together with the use of the vertical jointing module KD. This significantly increases the amount of light entering a room, and increases the field of view. Also available in conservation style.
